The Journey Begins

Te’Najia’s path to yoga began in her early twenties, during a period of profound personal exploration and a quest for deeper meaning in life. It was during this time that she encountered yoga, not just as a physical practice but as a profound philosophical and spiritual discipline that resonated with her innermost being. Captivated by the depth and breadth of yoga’s teachings, she embarked on an immersive journey, studying various traditions and practices to deepen her understanding and experience.

A Rich Tapestry of Training

Te’Najia’s formal education in yoga is extensive and diverse. She is a proud RYT-500, having completed her 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training with an esteemed institution that emphasizes a holistic approach to yoga. Her training included an in-depth study of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, along with specialized training in restorative practices, meditation, and pranayama (breathwork).

Beyond the mat, Te’Najia has delved into the ancient texts that form the foundation of yoga philosophy, drawing wisdom from the Vedas, Upanishads, and the Bhagavad Gita, among others. Her approach is also significantly influenced by the teachings of mindfulness, a desire for peace, and a goal to harmonize the mind body and spirit.
